Food Import Management Information System/“FIMIS”
The Food Import Management Information System (FIMIS) is intended to function as an information base and archive for assisting The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA)/ Food Control Division (FCD) in identifying trends, and analyzing statistics, regarding the safety of imported food products arriving through the Aqaba port for Jordan.
Furthermore, the statistics and identified trends will further enforce the streamlined process and selectivity model used for managing imported food utilizing the new OLAP (Online Analyses Procedure) as a business tool for system data management.
ASEZA Automated System for Customs Data
Through the vision of Aseza to create a competition environment in the region.
Customs IT team design and publish the website for all Asycuda users to update them for every new in customs directorate –instructions, decisions, procedures and regulations, in addition to Customs system (Asycuda World)manuals, the new site was built to access Asycuda through internet, the site also contains programs used to install Asycuda Agent and 2 kinds of links, one for users who connect from ASEZA LAN –Custom Centers & Brokers inside main port and the other for users who connect from outside ASEZA LAN via internet.
Warehouse Automated System
ASEZA Inventory Management system have been developed to automate the storing process of ASEZA inventories, the automation includes the AT9 Management processes starting from the entry of the document by the clearance companies through the approvals hierarchy by the authority and finally importing the items inside the site, then starts the business loops such as the SE9, Items Operation, Transferring and Abdicating. The system developed based on the international standardizations on Microsoft ASP.Net technology integrated with Microsoft SQL Server.
Enterprises Registration and Permitting System ERPS
The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), Jordan’s first Government Agency to offer Online Enterprise Registration and Permitting Services, was chosen as the Silver Winner of the Middle East - Africa Region in the Global Excellence in Workflow Awards.
“ASEZA’s Enterprise Registration and Permitting System excelled through its innovative means of connecting ASEZA’s Investor Services Directorate to other departments, internally and externally (Environment, Zoning, Health, and Civil Defense Departments)”.
The system resulted from an intense business process engineering and electronic enabling transformation of the enterprise registration and permitting processes at ASEZA’s One-Stop-Shop. Today, investment facilitation services provided through the One-Stop-Shop .
The basic principle underlying the system is ASEZA’s mandate to respond to investors’ applications and requests in a timely fashion. Also The electronic enabling of ASEZA’s systems allows investors to fill and submit their registration and permitting applications, in addition to tracking the status of their submitted applications online at www.aqabazone.com. “
“The system also connects ASEZA with all relevant Government bodies- in a ‘paper-less’ working environment- strengthening its internal and external communication flow,” Moreover, the system presents a very useful management tool for ASEZA’s management by providing functional and statistical updates at a push of a button.
